Bustin Boards Carbon Robot 41" Longboard Deck
It's finally here. The long awaited Robot has been one of Bustin's top projects since before the release of the Ibach. We've been working day and night on these, testing and making small changes, to release a bi-directional drop-through deck as a top level freeride machine. The Robot began as a symmetrical Maestro shape, but it was clear after a couple months of riding that we needed something that could handle more versatile setups and really specialize in downhill, freestyle and freeride. The Robot shape is everything you need in a comfortable freeride board. All function, no fluff. We decided to release it in two different lengths — the 41-inch version more geared towards hills and freeriding and a 36-incher for city thrashing and freestyle. About the holesom Sweeper II
40 X 9.25 inch, multiple truck mount bi-directional, cambered and concave, constructed of hemp, bamboo and holes. Holesom redesigned a few things on the Sweeper, making a great deck even better... 1. Holes: now with 6 along each rail. The outer holes are twice as far away from the cut outs as the original Sweeper, making the deck more durable. The holes are larger and better beveled, giving it a boss military spec look. 2. Stiffness & Camber: we increased the thickness of each of the 5 bamboo sheets by .2mm for camber retention and a slightly stiffer deck. The SSII has the same composition of 11 layers hemp and bamboo and rides like having kittens under your feet. 3. Graphic: the bottom has Holesom poems laid over the main graphic, the cross weave of hemp and vert grain of bamboo in a rich tapestry, contrasting boldness with good vibes. |

This deck is rad!
We have tested several prototypes, and finally we landed what we think is the best DH freestyle deck available. There is a deep elliptical concave that is deeper near the trucks. It's on one plane, no rocker, no camber. It comes in 2 flexes - stiff 8 ply, and stiffer 9 ply, with hand picked Great Lakes region hard rock maple. No, maple is not all the same, and we have the best of the best. We paid close attention to the details. There is maximum possible real estate near the trucks without wheelbite. There are routered channels for a touch of torsional flex without sacrificing the stiffer feel of the deck. This will allow the load to be evenly distributed between all 4 wheels in slides for a more predictable ride. You can also grab rail, even with bulky slide gloves - just look at how big they are! Fun, fun, fun, and that's our whole purpose here at Earthwing. |

The offset cores with fat lips allow for the proper amount of grip when cornering and carving. The angled lips create a progressively larger contact patch as the wheel is slowly worn down from rippin slides.
